According to the information compiled from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) data, Turkey’s agricultural sector achieved the highest first quarter export of all time with 9.3 billion dollars. Agricultural exports, which increased by 8.6 percent in the first 3 months of the year compared to the same period of 2023, took a 14.6 percent share of Turkey’s total exports.
5 out of 10 sectors operating within agriculture broke export records in the first quarter. 3.1 billion dollars in the grains, pulses, oilseeds and products sector, 963.6 million dollars in fresh fruits and vegetables, 708.3 million dollars in fruit and vegetable products, 497.6 million dollars in dried fruits and products, 49 million dollars in ornamental plants and products. Foreign sales of 1 million dollars were made.
In the said period, on an annual basis, 7 percent in cereals, pulses, oilseeds and their products, 2.6 percent in fresh fruits and vegetables, 28.9 percent in fruit and vegetable products, 29.9 percent in dried fruits and products, 2.1 percent in ornamental plants and products. There was an increase in exports.

While Germany ranked first in dried fruits and products with 61.6 million dollars, the country to which the ornamental plants and products sector exported the most was the Netherlands with 10.7 million dollars.
When looked at on a provincial basis, 903.7 million dollars worth of grains, pulses, oilseeds and their products from Istanbul, 197.6 million dollars worth of fruit and vegetable products, 263.8 million dollars worth of fresh fruits and vegetables from Mersin, 160.6 million dollars worth of goods from Izmir. dried fruits and products, and ornamental plants and products worth 20.6 million dollars were exported from Antalya.
