HE SIGNED EARTHQUAKE
Emphasizing that a four-year period without elections has been entered, Cevdet Yılmaz stated that Turkey has maintained its strong structure despite the epidemic, global economic contraction, regional wars and earthquake disaster. Yılmaz emphasized that they will work to heal the wounds of the earthquake as well as to make cities resilient to disasters. Stating that the growth in the economy continues, exports and employment increase, and the current account deficit decreases, he said:
“We increase economic growth, employment and exports, and reduce our current account deficit. We strengthen our structure with investment and production. Fighting inflation is our main priority, both economically and socially. We will achieve this by determinedly implementing the program we announced last year.
As of the second half of this year, we will begin to clearly see the results of our fight against inflation. In this way, we will prevent the wage increases from eroding over time and provide a permanent increase in welfare. While making structural reforms in the economy, we will focus on improving the efficiency of public administration, raising our democratic standards, and establishing a more effectively functioning justice system. “Our aim is to grow in democratic stability and to reflect the blessings of growth fairly to all segments of society.”
