The world-famous Forbes magazine published the list of the richest people in the world on its website today. There were 23 men and 4 women from Turkey on the list.
Yıldız Holding Board Member Murat Ülker ranked first on the list of Turkey’s dollar billionaires. It was stated that Ülker’s wealth decreased by 19 million dollars in one year and was recorded as 5 billion dollars.
İpek Kıraç is in second place on the list with a fortune of 3.7 billion dollars, while Semahat Sevim Arsel is in third place with a fortune of 3.6 billion dollars.
Kazancı Holding Chairman Şaban Cemil Kazancı ranked fourth with his fortune of 3.3 billion dollars. Mustafa Rahmi Koç came fifth with 3.2 dollars.
BAYRAKTARS ARE ALSO ON THE LIST
AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s son-in-law Selçuk Bayraktar and his brother Haluk Bayraktar also entered the Forbes billionaires list for the first time.
Baykar Technology boss Selçuk Bayraktar, 44, became the 24th richest person in Turkey and the 2410th richest person in the world with a fortune of 1.2 billion dollars. Selçuk Bayraktar became Türkiye’s tax record holder in 2022.
45-year-old Haluk Bayraktar became the 27th richest person in Turkey and the 2545th richest person in the world with his fortune of 1.1 billion dollars.
Turgay Ciner and Hanifi Öksüz, who were on the billionaires list last year, were not included in this year’s list.
