When we looked at the daily houses on the most used real estate platforms on the internet, we noticed that the requested prices were far behind the market average. When we looked at flats in any location, figures such as 300-500 lira per day caught our eye. However, the average price for daily rental houses starts from 2-3 thousand liras. When we clicked on the ad and saw the price, we immediately contacted the seller. On the phone, they start bargaining by stating that this figure is actually hourly. Some people say that the figure is not up to date and the new fee is not entered on the site.
Some real estate agents try to attract customers by opportunism with low-priced advertisements. Citizens who decide to take a last-minute holiday during the holiday and cannot find a place are also forced to accept it. Consumers need to take screenshots of the advertisements and seek their rights. There are many complaints on the internet about this situation. Consumer Confederation (TÜKONFED) President Aydın Ağaoğlu said, “If a daily price is written on the house, it is daily. It is not monthly or hourly. In case of a price dispute, the consumer can take a screenshot and apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. According to the label price law, the stated price must be correct. “If the price written on the label of a product purchased in the market is valid, the same is valid for advertisements on internet platforms,” he said.
