According to the statement made by Huawei, the EU Cloud Conduct Standards aim to promote high standards in data protection and security and strengthen the unity and standards of the industry. This compliance also shows that the cloud services the company offers to its customers in Europe comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Huawei Cloud Europe President Tim Tao, whose views were included in the statement, stated that they are happy that Huawei Cloud complies with the EU Cloud Conduct Standards.
HUAWEI COMPLYES WITH EUROPE’S RULES
Gabriela Mercuri, Executive Director of SCOPE Europe, the EU Cloud Code of Conduct monitoring unit, evaluated Huawei Cloud’s participation in the ecosystem as an important step that will contribute to the creation of a secure and transparent digital environment across the EU. Approved by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) nearly three years ago, the EU Cloud Conduct Standards have become an important compliance reference point for the cloud industry.
These standards, which increase the implementation of the rules and transparency, also enable customers to make risk assessments more accurately.
Committed to providing its customers with a high level of cyber security, data security and privacy protection, Huawei’s voluntary compliance with these rules is seen as an indication that it provides its services to users across Europe in a safe and transparent manner.
