La Dolce Vita Orient Express: ticket sales for a trip on Europe’s first luxury train will start in April

It is Europe’s first luxury train. Born 150 years ago from the intuition of Georges Nagelmackerswill open in April official ticket saleswith the first departures scheduled for spring 2025. And the Dolce Vita Orient Express, a “journey on the tracks” that offers the opportunity to discover the beauties of Italy to those who decide to get on board. The launch comes after the success of the “priority booking” phase which began in December 2022, during which over 400 cabins have already been booked in just a few months.

During the announcement, communicated on the occasion of the Duco Travel Summit 2024, the new mock-up of the train cabin was unveiled and the new general manager was presented, Samy Ghachem. “We are thrilled to officially inaugurate a new era of travel with La Dolce Vita Orient Express – he declares Gilda Perez-Alvarado, CEO of Orient Express – This initiative embodies the essence of exclusive exploration, where sophistication meets adventure. The Dolce Vita Orient Express is the first initiative under the Orient Express brand, created by Arsenale and Orient Express, companies active in the luxury hospitality sector, with the support of Trenitalia-Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato, Fondazione Fs and Treni Turistici Italiani, designed for travelers looking for a unique experience, entirely in the name of Made In Italy.

The train pays homage to the “Dolce Vita” years, to the artistic and cultural fervor of Italy in the 1960s. And its identity comes to life throughout its 12 deluxe cabins, 18 suites, the “La Dolce Vita” suite, the restaurant, the lounge and the bar. From coast to coast Venice-Portofino to Monferrato “Wine and Truffle” up to the discovery of the Tyrrhenian coast, travelers will be able to choose between 9 itineraries (depending on the season), all characterized by luxury, culture and history, each of which will allow to discover the richness of the Italian regions.
