Minister Bayraktar announced: Daily oil production in Gabar exceeded 40 thousand barrels

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Bayraktar reported that a record in the history of the republic was broken in daily oil production in the Şırnak Gabar Mountain region.

Minister Bayraktar stated the following in his statement:

As of today, we have exceeded 40 thousand barrels of daily production here. This is a day that goes down in history as the day we produced the highest quality oil and the most oil in Turkey. For this, first of all, I would like to congratulate our brothers working here. They have great efforts. On behalf of our nation, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to our security forces who work day and night with them. I would like to express my gratitude to our President, who supported us on this path from the first day and followed us day and night. I would like to express my gratitude once again to our beloved nation that we have come to this day with their prayers and support.

“Our goal by the end of 2024 is to reach 100 thousand barrels per day.”

Today is an important day in the history of the Republic of Turkey. As of today, our total production in Turkey has exceeded 100 thousand barrels. Şırnak is now clearly the oil city and oil capital of Turkey. Hopefully we still have a way to go. If you remember when we came here on New Year’s Eve, we said that our goal by the end of 2024 is to reach 100 thousand barrels per day. We work day and night for this.

“Our average production per well has exceeded 1200 barrels”

We have currently achieved this production in 33 wells. Our average production per well has exceeded 1200 barrels. Therefore, when we reach our target of 95 wells, we will reach these figures by the end of the year. This is important to reduce Turkey’s foreign dependency, especially in energy. Our work here will continue uninterruptedly. We have new wells, we have new exploration wells. We will have new wells in Hakkari, on the Van border, this year. “With the new discoveries we will make in them, these production figures will go much further.”
