Minister Işıkhan announced: When will the holiday bonuses be deposited?

According to the statement made by the Ministry, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan attended the opening ceremony of the “Strengthening Workplace Harmony through Labor Inspection, Guidance and Social Dialogue Project” at a hotel in the capital. In his speech here, Işıkhan stated that inspection and follow-up are the last stage of public services and the most important component of the process.

Vedat Işıkhan evaluated, “If we cannot detect the reflections of our institutional work in the implementation phase, that work will not be completed. At this point, our Guidance and Inspection Directorate plays a critical role.”

Stating that the Ministry, on the one hand, contributes to Turkey’s growth and increase in employment, and on the other hand, sensitively implements measures that will increase the welfare and protect the safety of employees, Işıkhan said:

“Issues such as working hours, wages, occupational health and safety, welfare of workers, employment of women, children and youth, informality, unemployment, employment and labor market practices have an important place on our agenda. Regarding the implementation of all legislative provisions regarding working conditions and environment “Inspection activities, including research, examination and inspection, are carried out by the labor inspectors of our ministry.”

“We will establish dialogue between employers and job seekers”

Minister Işıkhan stated that they aim to increase women’s employment and reduce unregistered women’s employment and unemployment with the “Job Positive” project they have recently implemented, and said, “With this project, we will establish the dialogue between employers and job seekers in a fast and solution-oriented manner, in accordance with the conditions of our age.” he said.

Emphasizing that the Guidance and Inspection Directorate is a dynamic unit of the ministry, Işıkhan continued as follows:

“Every project to be implemented in this field contributes positively to the successful completion of our institutional work. As you know, our 12th National Development Plan has determined as the main goal to provide decent job opportunities to all segments of society and to increase the employment of groups that require special policies, especially women and youth. Similarly, the IPA III program, which aims to help align Turkey’s political, institutional, legal, administrative, social and economic reforms with the European Union regulations and directives, supports ensuring a decent work environment and increasing employability, especially among women and youth. “It is vital in the employment market to develop robust, inclusive and effective labor inspection systems to ensure compliance with legislation and thus improve decent working conditions in all sectors.”
