Ministry Announced! 8 thousand contracted personnel will be recruited

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş attended the ceremony of placing disabled people in public institutions.

Minister Göktaş stated the following in his speech here;

“We have determined employment policies for disabled people so that our disabled citizens can participate in working life. In addition to the principle of equality introduced by the Constitution, the principles of positive discrimination stipulated by the regulations form the basis of employment policies for disabled people.

‘THE NUMBER OF DISABLED OFFICERS WILL EXCEED 70 THOUSAND’

For this purpose, the Disabled Public Personnel Selection Examination has been implemented for the last 10 years in order to increase and make permanent the employment of disabled people. The Disabled Public Personnel Selection Examination, which was launched in 2012, is the most important factor ensuring the increase in the number of disabled personnel working in the public sector. Since 2012, 42 thousand 537 disabled citizens have been appointed to civil servants. While the number of disabled civil servants working in the public sector was 5 thousand 777 in 2002, this number increased approximately 12 times in the last 20 years to 68 thousand 396. With 2 thousand 392 appointments to be made today, the number of disabled civil servants will exceed 70 thousand.

As the Ministry of Family and Social Services, we also contribute to the EKPSS exam fees of disabled candidates. From the budget of our Ministry, 11 million 832 thousand lira exam fee was transferred to ÖSYM for 2022 EKPSS. Our Ministry will also provide exam fee support for disabled citizens who will take the exam in the seventh EKPSS exam to be held on April 28. In addition to these numerical developments, we also continue our efforts to increase quality. In this context, public institutions and organizations are obliged to design for accessibility for disabled people. In addition, arrangements were made to facilitate the work of disabled employees and support them.

We know that even if we remove all obstacles, the main thing is to remove the obstacles in conscience. At one end of all our work, where we put people at the center, is to raise social awareness on the issues we are sensitive about. We know that the solution to the problems of our disabled citizens will be possible when all segments of society act with a common understanding. We continue our work with a humanitarian and conscientious understanding in order to raise awareness. We will continue to support the employment of disabled individuals for a more inclusive world.
