As the economic crisis and citizens’ livelihood problems deepen, Economist Prof. Dr. Hayri Kozanoğlu brought an ironic look to the economy.
Prof. made evaluations about the economic outlook on his social media account. Dr. Kozanoğlu derived creative concepts about how current conditions affect people’s lives.
Kozanoglu, “I share a definition about inflation every day. Whether it is liked or not, my aim is to expose the phenomenon of inflation in an ironic language.
I say I can go to the cinema or theater once a month, but he denies me by saying, “I can’t go at all.” “I already described your situation with “cancellation” yesterday!” he said.

Kozanoğlu’s ironic concepts are as follows:
Marketflation: It means that the quantity of the product decreases, the quality decreases and the price increases at the same time. Especially retirees experience this fact every day while grocery shopping.
Nasflation: While prices are increasing, constantly reducing interest rates for religious reasons and causing inflation to explode!
Cancellation: Low-income citizens eliminate “luxury” food items such as meat, cheese, bacon and olive oil from their lives, regardless of whether the quantity of the product has decreased, the quality has decreased or the price has increased.
Dilution: In an environment of high inflation, people have to give up their habits; Drinking tea twice a day, reducing it to once a day, buying coffee every three days, reducing it to once a week, going to the cinema or theater once a month, etc.
