Bayraktar said in his statement:

“While we estimate a decrease of around 10 percent in cattle this year compared to last year, we do not expect much change in sheep and goats, due to the fact that purchasing power cannot keep up with the increases in meat and livestock prices.

Considering the sacrifice sales in recent years, we estimate that a total of 3 million 385 thousand sacrificial animals will be slaughtered this year, including 785 thousand cattle and 2 million 600 thousand sheep and goats.”

GREAT RISE SINCE LAST YEAR

Bayraktar, who made evaluations about the sacrifice prices in his statement, gave the following information:

“The prices of sacrifices and the way of sale differ according to the provinces. In some places, live weight (scale) and meat (carcass) prices are sold, in some places, live animal (kabala) sales are made by bargaining or share sales. Recently, especially in metropolitan cities, the slaughter price is also included in the animal sales price.

Sacrificial animal prices; It differs according to the provinces, live weight, breed (local-culture) and whether it is bovine cow, heifer, tosun, small ruminant sheep, ram and goat.

According to the data we received from our Chambers of Agriculture, the average prices in our country; It is estimated that the price per animal will vary between 35 thousand and 145 thousand liras in cattle, between 4 thousand and 15 thousand liras in small cattle, and that the live weight price per kilogram will be between 120 liras and 185 liras for bovine animals and between 100 liras and 185 liras for small cattle. These prices may change according to demand as the holiday approaches.

When we look at the country average, it is seen that the price of live kilograms of cattle is 147 liras and 7 kurus, and the price of live kilograms of sheep and goats is 129 liras and 62 kurus.

HOW MUCH PRICES FOR SACRIFICE ANIMALS?

Prices of cattle in live kilograms, in our three big cities with the highest sales, are between 170 liras and 185 liras on the European side of Istanbul, 170 liras and 180 liras on the Anatolian side, 140 liras and 160 liras in Ankara, 160 liras and 170 liras in Izmir. varies between pounds.

“The gross minimum wage paid by our producers to a worker they employ in their enterprises has increased from 5 thousand 4 liras last year to 10 thousand 8 liras with an increase of 100 percent this year.

While the kilowatt of electricity they use in their businesses was 207 liras and 94 kurus last year, this year it increased by 3 percent to 213 liras and 99 kurus.

The straw they bought last year for 1,863 liras this year increased by 99.7 percent to 3 thousand 721 liras, the dried alfalfa grass they bought for 3 thousand 101 liras to 5 thousand 746 liras with an increase of 85.3 percent, and the corn silage they bought for 1 thousand 431 liras with an increase of 70.2 percent. Wheat bran bought for 1,435 liras and 4,265 liras this year amounted to 5 thousand 725 liras with an increase of 34.2 percent, and the fattening feed they bought for 5 thousand 977 liras this year increased by 21.1 percent to 7 thousand 236 liras.

Although there has been a decrease in diesel prices compared to last year, transportation prices are still high.
