In his speech here, Kütükcü pointed out that industrial investments in Turkey are improving every year and said that the most concrete indicator of this is OIZs.
Stating that 69 new OIZs were established in Turkey with the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Technology in the last 4 years, Kütükcü continued as follows:
“With the 7 OIZs established today with the signature of Minister Kacır, the total number of OIZs has reached 399, 39 of which are affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Currently, there is no province left in our country without an OIZ. In this process, our OIZs will provide 7 thousand new investments to our investors. allocated more parcels. The number of factories in OIZs exceeded 67 thousand. Our OIZs provided employment for 250 thousand more people, reaching a total employment figure of 2 million 577 thousand. Our exporting OIZ companies exceeded 10 thousand. Exports made by these companies are 64.5 thousand. “It reached billion dollars. Our OIZs lead Turkey’s growth, employment and export increase.”
Explaining that they have made comprehensive investments in many areas, from vocational education to technology, from renewable energy to the environment, with state support, Kütükcü stated that the number of vocational high schools in OIZs has increased to 86 and the number of students has increased to over 61 thousand.
Kütükcü stated that they educate young people who will build the future of Turkey in 23 vocational schools and 254 vocational training centers within OIZs, and underlined that they improved the country’s R&D and innovation capacity with 24 technoparks, 713 R&D and Design Centers.

Pointing out that the capacity of renewable energy power plants in OIZs has reached 3 thousand 524 megawatts, Kütükcü said that 3 thousand 100 megawatts of this capacity is solar energy, 328 megawatts is biomass, 80 megawatts are geothermal investments and 16 megawatts are wind power plants.
Kütükcü explained that the capacity of fossil fuel facilities consisting of natural gas cycle plants, cogeneration, waste flue gas and thermal power plants has reached 3 thousand 694 megawatts, thus the total capacity of renewable energy and fossil fuel energy production plants in OIZs is 7 thousand 218 megawatts.
Emphasizing that they will crown these investments made in the first century of the Republic with new investments in the new century, Kütükcü made the following demands:
“We demand that the way be paved for our OIZ legal entities to make mass solar energy investments. We have started our work to implement the first example of this model, which will also include storage areas, in Konya. Then, we believe that this model will be an example for other OIZs in our country and that the mass solar energy investments to be made will benefit our country. “I believe it will make a great contribution to energy localization efforts.”
Erciyes OIZ in Kayseri, Nevşehir Avanos Kapadokya OIZ in Nevşehir, Terme Karma OIZ in Samsun, Aksaray Gülağaç Gülpınar OIZ and Sarıyahşi OSB in Aksaray, Kaş Gıda İhtisas OIZ in Antalya and Çivril OSB in Denizli gained legal personality. The number of OIZs affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Technology reached 360.
With 39 agriculture-based specialized OIZs (TDİOSB) affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the total number of OIZs in Turkey increased to 399.
