SLC Máquinas, the John Deere dealership in Rio Grande do Sul, closed an agreement for the acquisition of part of the operations of Soluções Integradas Verdes Vales, headquartered in Santa Maria (RS). The purchase, which still depends on the approval of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade), should add around BRL 900 million in revenue to the acquiring company by the end of 2023.
The deal involves nine of the 13 Linha Agrícola stores and two Linha Amarela stores, which operate in the construction industry. Another four stores in the agricultural sector of Verdes Vales should be sold to the concessionaire Alvorada Sistemas Agrícolas.
The acquisition commitment was disclosed in a Notice to the Market this Thursday. If the transaction is completed, SLC Máquinas will increase its presence in the state from 18 to 29 licensed John Deere dealerships.
The deal also marks the entry of SLC Máquinas into the Yellow Line segment, a sector in which the company did not yet operate. “Our focus is strong sustainable growth. Until 2009, we had only one concessionaire, in Horizontina. Today there are 18 of us and we have plans to expand and scale up until 2026”, says the company’s CEO, Cláudio Schüür.
With revenues of BRL 1.4 billion in 2022, SLC Máquinas expects to reach the BRL 2.3 billion mark by the end of this year. “Our goal is to reach revenues of R$ 4 billion in four years. This is a mature and professional negotiation, built over the last few months. Even with the drought that hit Rio Grande do Sul and the drop in commodity prices, we maintain investments”, observes Schüür.
Linha Amarela is one of the strong bets of the company, which intends to scale the segment, working in public works, infrastructure and Public-Private Partnerships, for example. The idea is for this segment to initially represent 15% of SLC Máquinas’ revenue.
“The expectation is positive in relation to Cade. So, we believe that the stores currently belonging to Verdes Vales could be under our management in the second half of 2023” concludes the CEO of SLC Máquinas.
