The highest ever aid to farmers

The government is launching aid for farmers who are at risk of losing their liquidity due to market disruptions caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Aid for wheat producers

• The price of a ton of wheat will reach approx. PLN 1,400.

• The amount of aid is the product of the rate of PLN 2,200/ha and the area of ​​wheat cultivation.

• Support will be provided to farmers who:

– have a farm of up to 300 ha;

– will have wheat sales invoices from April 15 to June 15, 2023.

• For example: a farmer who received direct payments for 2022 up to 10 ha of wheat and sold or will sell between April 15 and June 15, 2023, e.g. 42 tons of wheat, will receive PLN 16,800.

Fertilizer subsidies

• Support will be provided to farmers who:

– in the period from May 16, 2022 to March 31, 2023, they purchased mineral fertilizers other than lime fertilizer and lime fertilizer containing magnesium;

– have a farm of up to 300 ha and submitted an application for direct payments in 2023.

• The aid rate will vary:

– PLN 500 per 1 ha of agricultural crops, excluding meadows and pastures and grasses on arable land;

– PLN 250 per 1 ha of meadows, pastures and grasses on arable land.

• Approval of the European Commission will be needed.

Aid for producers of other cereals, rape and turnip rape

There will be additional support for producers of: maize, rye, barley, oats, triticale, cereal mixes, rapeseed or turnip rape, due to increased imports of cereals and oilseeds from Ukraine.

• Support will be granted to farmers who:

– among others have sold or will sell corn, rye, barley, oats, triticale, cereal mixes or rapeseed or colza seeds in the period from April 15, 2023 to June 15, 2023.

– have farms with an area of ​​up to 300 ha of agricultural land.

• Aid rates will vary according to plant species and regionally, depending on the distance of individual regions of Poland from ports.

• Rates per 1 ha of cultivation area will be:

in Lubelskie or Podkarpackie Voivodeship:

– PLN 1,750 – corn, rape or agrimony;

– PLN 1,125 – barley or triticale;

– PLN 875 – oats, cereal mixes;

in the Małopolskie, Mazowieckie, Świętokrzyskie or Podlaskie voivodeships:

– PLN 1,610 – corn, rape or agrimony;

– PLN 1,035 – barley or triticale;

– PLN 805 – rye, oats, cereal mixes;

in other provinces:

– PLN 1,400 – corn, rapeseed or agrimony;

– PLN 900 – barley or triticale;

– PLN 700 – rye, oats, cereal mixes.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development encourages farmers to sell cereals and rape and submit applications for support to the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture from 1 to 30 June 2023.

Funds for reimbursement of diesel oil purchase costs for agricultural producers will be increased.

• In the so-called in the second period of submission of applications by farmers, i.e. from 1 to 31 August 2023, the refund of up to 1 liter of purchased diesel will be PLN 2.

• This represents an increase of 100%. compared to 2022, when the refund amount was PLN 1.

• We apply for permission to increase the amount of reimbursement to the European Commission.
