The workforce increased by 38 thousand people in February 2024 compared to the previous month, reaching 35 million 501 thousand people, and the labor force participation rate remained at the same level at 54.0 percent. While the labor force participation rate was 71.7 percent for men, it was 36.6 percent for women.

Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate among young people was 15.6 percent

The unemployment rate in the young population, covering the 15-24 age group, decreased by 0.8 points compared to the previous month and reached 15.6 percent. Unemployment rate in this age group; It was estimated as 13.4 percent for men and 19.6 percent for women.

The idle labor force rate, which consists of time-related underemployment, potential labor force and unemployed people, decreased by 1.9 points compared to the previous month and reached 24.5 percent in February 2024.
