Banking sector loan volume was 7 trillion 801.3 billion liras last week

According to the weekly bulletin published by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), the loan volume of the sector increased by 85 billion 651 million lira as of January 27.
In the said period, the total loan volume increased from 7 trillion 715 billion 643 million liras to 7 trillion 801 billion 294 million liras.
Total deposits in the banking sector (including interbank) increased by 71 billion 474 million liras last week. The total deposits of the banking sector, which increased by 0.8 percent in the aforementioned week, became 9 trillion 191 billion 911 million liras.
CONSUMER LOANS INCREASED TO 1.1 TRILLION TL
According to the data, the amount of consumer loans rose to 1 trillion 119 billion 587 million liras with an increase of 13 billion 692 million liras as of January 27.
362 billion 201 million lira of the said loans consisted of housing loans, 52 billion 785 million liras for vehicles and 704 billion 601 million liras for consumer loans.
In the said period, the amount of commercial installment loans increased by 1 billion 283 million liras to 976 billion 416 million liras. Individual credit card receivables of banks increased by 4.1 percent to 479 billion 518 million liras.
238 billion 359 million liras of personal credit card receivables were in installments, and 241 billion 159 million liras were without installments.
LEGAL EQUITY INCREASED
According to the BRSA weekly data, non-performing loans in the banking sector decreased by 160 million liras compared to the previous week and decreased to 161 billion 822 million liras as of January 27.
A special provision has been set aside for 141 billion 215 million TL of the aforementioned non-performing loans.
In the same period, legal equities of the banking system increased by 9 billion 814 million liras and reached 1 trillion 732 billion 758 million liras.
