Extremaduran ranchers benefit from 3.5 million in extraordinary aid from the Government due to drought and war

The central government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, has published a third list of beneficiaries of extraordinary aid to compensate for the difficulties derived from the drought and war in Ukraine, which iIt includes 297 livestock farms in Extremadura that will receive 3,508,439 euros.

In total, the autonomous communities will receive 9,059,896 euros for 1,411 farms.

With this new payment, the extraordinary aid to livestock farmers in Extremadura amounts to a total of 106.4 million euros for 11,050 farms affected by drought or the consequences of the war in Ukrainereports the Presidency of the Government in a press release.

This payment is added to those already made in the months of October and November 2023, which already total an amount paid of 352 million euros, distributed among 73,369 beneficiary ranchers from all the autonomous communities, which represents a 99 percent of the initial total budget of 355 million euros.

This extraordinary help It was approved by the Government through Royal Decree-Law 4/2023, of May 11 and is financed exclusively with funds from the General State Budgets.

The list of the owners of the beneficiary livestock farms, the number of head of livestock counted and the amount of aid to be received is available for consultation at the electronic headquarters of the Spanish Agrarian Guarantee Fund (FEGA).

Income will be effective during the month of April

The resolution published today includes the owners of livestock farms who presented allegations to the provisional resolutions of the months of July and October and which, due to their “complexity”, had to be studied by the autonomous communities.

Once analyzed, compliance with the aid requirements verified and that the holders are up to date with their tax and Social Security obligations, the payment resolution is published. The aid will be deposited into the bank accounts of the farmers during this month of April.

The resolution also includes the holders who have been denied aid for not complying with the established requirements. The owners of livestock farms who are not aware of the tax and Social Security obligations They have a period of one month to catch up.

After this period, a new verification will be carried out and a new granting resolution will be published to the holders who meet the requirements.
