According to TÜİK data, the Foreign Producer Price Index (YD-PPI) decreased by 0.59 percent in September 2023 compared to the previous month, while it increased by 57.25 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to this; In September 2023, it decreased by 0.59 percent compared to the previous month, increased by 47.62 percent compared to December of the previous year, increased by 57.25 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and increased by 53.10 percent compared to the twelve-month averages.
ANNUAL INCREASE IN MANUFACTURING IS 57.37 PERCENT
Annual changes in two sectors of the industry; The increase was 50.33 percent in mining and quarrying and 57.37 percent in manufacturing.
Annual changes of main industry groups; The increase was 48.44 percent in intermediate goods, 61.32 percent in durable consumer goods, 58.33 percent in non-durable consumer goods, 55.87 percent in energy, and 66.58 percent in capital goods.
The monthly changes of the two sectors of the industry are; There was a 0.58 percent decrease in mining and quarrying and a 0.59 percent decrease in manufacturing.
Monthly changes of main industry groups; There was a 0.97 percent decrease in intermediate goods, a 1.54 percent decrease in durable consumer goods, a 0.31 percent increase in non-durable consumer goods, a 2.48 percent increase in energy, and a 1.40 percent decrease in capital goods.
SUB SECTORS
Among the YD-PPI sectors, basic metals, printing and recording services, 42.33 percent, paper and paper products, 42.98 percent were the sub-sectors where the indices increased the least.
On the other hand, machinery and equipment with 77.71 percent, tobacco products with 76.98 percent, computers and electronic and optical products with 74.30 percent were the sub-sectors where the indices increased the most.
Among the YD-PPI sectors, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers were the sub-sectors where the indices showed the highest decrease with 2.23 percent, base metals with 2.21 percent, and other manufactured goods with 1.77 percent.
On the other hand, printing and registration services with 3.18 percent, coke and refined petroleum products with 2.48 percent, and food products with 1.23 percent were the sub-sectors where the indices increased the most.
