After the EYT law, the second regulation on retirement comes. The Development Plan covering the period 2024-2028 included reformative steps for the social security system. In order to increase retiree welfare, the social security system will be supported by complementary retirement and health systems.

According to Sabah, known for its closeness to the government, the scope of the social security system will be expanded and the premium base will be strengthened. Login to the system will be easier. For this purpose, new applications will be developed for different professions and income groups, and easy employer practices will be expanded.

The monthly pension system will encourage people to remain employed and will not impose a financial burden. In order to ensure financial sustainability in the system, studies will be carried out on automatic adjustment mechanisms compatible with the increase in life expectancy at birth in determining retirement criteria.

LEGAL INFRASTRUCTURE WILL BE STRENGTHENED

Special social insurance programs will be created for groups such as low-income tradesmen, artisans, farmers and seasonal workers. It will be adapted to changing labor market conditions and new generation flexible working models.

With digitalization, the legal infrastructure will be strengthened to harmonize new working models that emerge outside the traditional workplace concept with the social security system. The compatibility of social security practices with flexible working models, especially part-time work, will be increased.
