Celebrating its 19th anniversary, Servidis Group consolidates itself as an undisputed leader in innovation within the outsourcing sector. His unique strategic approach has not only cemented his position at the top, but has also captured the interest of leading business schools, becoming a case study for his exceptional track record and methodology. What is the secret behind your continued success? To discover its secret we interviewed its CEO, Mr. Oliver Martín Ramírez.

–What is the secret behind Grupo Servidis?

First, the human team. Every day, we enrich ourselves with the lessons learned from our collaborators, clients and suppliers, who have been fundamental pillars in the creation of our distinctive strategy. Our rollercoaster ride reminds us of the importance of valuing both current members and those who were once part of our team. Their invaluable contribution has left an indelible mark, becoming an essential component of our success.

Second, our approach. We focus each year on innovating in a market that is characterized by intense competitiveness and is known for being in a “red ocean.” We strive to differentiate ourselves not only in prices, but in the creation of added values, a strategy that distinguishes us from most of our competitors, whose operations are often limited by the race to the lowest price.

And finally, what drives us is our passion. We celebrate daily learning, whether through the mistakes we make or in our tireless pursuit of knowledge. Maintaining an insatiable curiosity about emerging techniques is key to always staying ahead.

–What does innovation mean for Grupo Servidis?

For our Business Group, innovation is not just a strategy, it is the core of our identity. Our adventure began in 2005 with the founding of the Special Employment Center Servidis, SL, distinguishing ourselves as pioneers in the Canary Islands by offering a range of comprehensive services, such as cleaning and gardening, through a special employment model. This innovative approach not only established us as a benchmark in the sector, but also marked the beginning of a new era in the labor integration of people with disabilities. Many of our workers, coming from associations and/or training centers, found in Servidis not only their first job, but also an opportunity for personal and professional development, redefining the possibilities of inclusion in the workplace. Another notable achievement for the Servidis Special Employment Center was becoming the first Center of its type to obtain ISO 9001 certifications in quality management and ISO 14001 in environmental management. This recognition not only underlined our commitment to excellence and sustainability, but also reaffirmed our position in promoting responsible and cutting-edge business practices.

We are proud to see that more than 50 Special Employment Centers currently operate in the Canary Islands, many of which have adopted our innovative model, playing a crucial role in the social and labor integration of people with disabilities. This mass adoption underscores the impact and effectiveness of our practices, extending our mission beyond our own operations.

Currently, the Servidis Group is made up of four commercial entities, two of them are Special Employment Centers and a Foundation. They all share the same philosophy of sustainability and innovation strategy.

–What are the most notable technological innovations at Grupo Servidis?

Eivor Systems SL., a Group company, leads the development of our technological solutions, which have been in constant evolution since 2005, thanks to the synergy between our departments. Our ERP, CRM and web portal systems are fundamental in our strategy of providing added value, ensuring optimal integration and operational efficiency.

Innovation in our computer applications not only seeks to increase our productivity, but also enhance the efficiency of our clients, thus creating a mutual positive impact.

Our latest innovation encompasses applications based on artificial intelligence for the personalized automation of service requests, adapting to the specific needs of each client. This pioneering technology in the outsourcing sector improves efficiency and reduces costs by automatically optimizing services. In addition, it facilitates more precise planning, as in the case of maritime transport, where cleaning is adjusted to the daily volume of passengers, or in hotels, where services vary according to the expected occupancy.

–What will be the strategy, for 2024, at Grupo Servidis?

In 2024, one of the key strategies for Grupo Servidis and many other companies will be the retention and attraction of new talent. This priority reflects the growing importance of creating an attractive work environment and development opportunities that meet the expectations of today’s professionals.

On the other hand, as part of our DNA we will continue to invest in innovation; We will also take entity-specific approaches to respond effectively to both our clients’ needs and dynamic socioeconomic conditions.

Companies face challenges in recruiting new staff, especially in areas of specialization, a problem present in almost all sectors. It is crucial that both public administrations and companies reflect and act promptly in the face of this situation. The interdependence between workers and companies is fundamental; Without one, the other cannot survive.

The challenge of hiring personnel, particularly those with disabilities, is exacerbated in basic roles such as cleaning in our Special Employment Centers, reflecting the need to align our offers with current job expectations. As a solution, last year we launched training programs to create innovative digital services, improving labor inclusion and responding to the demands of our clients. Among these, MKG Soluciones stands out, focused on digital marketing, creative content, social media management and advertising campaigns.

At Eivor Systems, SL, we have faced similar challenges in recruiting technical talent. The shortage of available programmers

to work on site has led us to adopt a remote work model. This strategy has not only expanded our access to a more diverse pool of talent specialized in various technologies and programming languages, but has also fostered a more flexible and adaptive work culture, in line with global work trends and employee preferences. professionals in the technology sector.
