Due to the Local Government General Elections to be held on Sunday, March 31, THY announced that passengers who meet the specified conditions will be given the right to change their tickets and free refunds for unused tickets.

Regarding the issue, the statement made on the airline company’s website said:
“Dear passengers, due to the local elections to be held in Turkey on 31 March 2024, additional rights have been granted to our passengers who are citizens of the Republic of Turkey. Accordingly, our passengers registered for Turkish Airlines flights between 24 March 2024 and 31 March 2024 for tickets issued on or before 02 January 2024. Unused tickets will be refunded free of charge, provided that the transactions are made until April 15, 2024 (inclusive), regardless of the fare rule, and that they cover passengers who meet the specified conditions.
For tickets that have been partially used and the journey has not been completed; Refunds for unused flights will be made free of charge. The validity of the ticket can be extended until April 30, 2024 (Included) without any fee difference or penalty.
