Miguel Garrido is re-elected as president of the Madrid employers’ association until 2027

Miguel Garrido will be one more legislature the representative of the companies of the Community of Madrid until 2027. The General Assembly of the Business Confederation of Madrid-CEIM (CEOE) has decided today the re-election at the head of the organization.
The also vice president of CEOE, has highlighted the difficulties of his first term because of the pandemic and the subsequent conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Garrido has blamed the Government for aggravating the situation by generating a “hostility campaign” towards entrepreneurs with “criminalization” of corporate profits.
In his speech he criticized, one by one, to the ministers who have economic responsibilities, from the First Vice President and Minister of Economic Affairs, Nadia Calviño; even the Second Vice President and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz; going through María Jesús Montero (Treasury) and José Luis Escrivá (Social Security).
He has ensured that, although they, as employers’ associations, have to stay “out” of politics in the face of July 23th, has assured that he can “comment on the policies” and analyze them. That is why he has called for a “responsible, respectful and efficient” government that is not “supported by radical minorities that put our prestige at risk.”
