Miguel Marzo will once again occupy the presidency of CEOE Zaragoza

Miguel Marzo has been re-elected president of CEOE Zaragoza in the Electoral Assembly in which the new composition of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, government bodies in which the different sectors and companies that make up CEOE Zaragoza are represented, have also been ratified. In addition, its three new vice presidents have also been ratified: Inmaculada Avellaneda, Agustín Lalaguna and María Sasot

Miguel Marzo has been the single candidacy presented and his new stage as president has been ratified by acclamation. March agreed to the presidency of the organization in 2022 from the vice presidency after the resignation of Ricardo Mur.

In his speech before the Assembly, he thanked the trust received, as well as the work of his predecessors at the head of CEOE Zaragoza, an organization about which he highlighted “which already has 46 years of history as a benchmark and speaker for Zaragoza companies “.

In his speech, he highlighted the value and socio-economic contribution of companies and entrepreneurs by stating that “we must be proud of it and claim it with determination. Companies create wealth”.

Among the lines of action for this new stage, he has highlighted his commitment to social dialogue “of which we are a reference Aragon and by conviction and action of the agents, as well as the institutions”.

Mazo added that “I believe that society today is more aware than ever of the social work carried out by companies and the business defense work carried out by business confederations”. He has also placed special emphasis on the importance of “union and collaboration, which is not uniformity, but common work for a shared goal.”

Between the challenges faced by Zaragoza and Aragón, he highlighted the labor shortage, the attraction and retention of talent, the training and relaunch of dual vocational training, territorial cohesion, sustainability, continuing to “attract companies and consolidate those that already we are here”.

In this sense, he has considered that “Aragon, and specifically Zaragoza, have an unbeatable business ecosystem and great strengths, which are necessary support to advance in all of them.”

In his speech he has not ignored some of the main claims of the business fabric such as taxation that contributes to economic growth, the reduction of barriers that limit business development and competitiveness, an adequate labor framework, agreeing on a Digitization Plan in Aragon, strengthening the industrial sector and achieving a more efficient and balanced.

Finally, Miguel Marzo has valued the socioeconomic contribution of companies and businessmen, which he has described as key to “the generation of well-being, wealth, employment and resources for the whole of society”.
