Minister Şimşek went to the USA for the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings – Last Minute Economic News

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek attended the “International Monetary Fund (IMF)-World Bank Spring Meetings” and the “G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting” and went to the USA to meet with international investors.

Spring Meetings, organized annually by the IMF and the World Bank, where problems and opportunities in the global economy are discussed, have started.

MEETINGS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL APRIL 20

The meetings, held at a time when concerns about inflation and geopolitical tensions are increasing, will continue until April 20 in Washington, the capital of the USA.

Minister Şimşek, who will attend the meetings representing Turkey, left for the USA.

Şimşek is planned to take part in the Global Outlook Forum to be organized by the Institute of International Finance tomorrow. Şimşek, who is expected to speak at the event titled “Turkey: Moving Forward in the Volatile Global Economy” on Thursday, will also attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting as part of his programs.

Minister Şimşek will also meet with many foreign investors within the scope of the meetings, which will be attended by representatives of credit rating agencies, finance ministers of the countries, central bank officials, representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations and academicians.
