Movilex will invest 7 million in an electronic device treatment plant in Miranda de Ebro

The Extremaduran family business Movilex, specialized in the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), will invest 7 million euros in the start-up of a plant in the Burgos town of Miranda de Ebro, which will create 60 direct jobs and 33 indirect.

Next Friday, April 5, the installation of the first plant of its innovative Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) treatment and management plant will take place in the Industrial Estate of the town of Burgos in an event that is expected to be attended by the president of the Board, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco and the mayor of the town, Aitana Hernando. The The planned investment amounts to 7 million euros, which will generate 60 direct and 33 indirect jobs, thus strengthening the local economic fabric.

Installation encompasses an extension of 12,000 square meters, of which 4,000 are destined for treatment, and will position Burgos as a reference in Burgos and throughout Spain in the treatment of this type of waste. The plant marks a significant advance towards a more circular and sustainable economy by being equipped with cutting-edge technology, with an annual treatment capacity of 120,000 tons and a focus on the recovery of WEEE, achieving a recycling rate of 95-98%.

The company’s forecast is centralize your operations for the industrial zones from this plant from Castilla León, Basque Country Cantabria, Asturias, La Rioja and Navarra.
