The farmers protests They face their twenty-first day this Monday, February 26, after a few weeks marked by mobilizations throughout Spain. Agricultural professional organizations Asaja, COAG and UPA have called on farmers and ranchers to protest this Monday in Madrid, coinciding with the meeting of the Council of Agriculture Ministers of the European Union, a protest in which the national fishing sector has also joined. In this way, a hundred tractors and thousands of farmers from all over Spain will tour the center of the capital this Monday under the motto ‘The countryside demands support, respect and recognition’ to demand solutions to the many problems that the agricultural sector has.
The tractors are scheduled to leave this Monday at 09:00 a.m. from the Arganda Bridge to access the capital through National 3, Avenida del Mediterráneo, City of Barcelona to concentrate on the Paseo de Infanta Isabel, in front of the Ministry of Agriculture. From the ministry led by Luis Planas, they will go to the headquarters of the European Commission Office (Paseo de la Castellana, 46), where the interventions of the top officials of the convening organizations will take place.

Since the first day of mobilization, February 6, the Ministry of the Interior has identified 8,886 people for possible sanctions, with the filing of just over 3,189 administrative complaints for roadblocks and tractor trailers in different parts of Spain. In addition, the number of detainees now reaches 60 people.
