The farmers protests They face their twenty-second day this Tuesday, February 27, after a few weeks marked by mobilizations throughout Spain. Asaja, COAG and UPA carried out yesterday protests in Madrid, coinciding with the meeting of the Council of Agriculture Ministers of the European Union, a protest in which the national fishing sector has also joined. A hundred tractors and thousands of farmers from all over Spain toured the center of the capital under the motto ‘The countryside demands support, respect and recognition’ to demand solutions to the many problems that the agricultural sector has.

Several demonstrations are expected this Tuesday in different Spanish cities. Asaja, COAG, UPA and Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de Córdoba have planned to hold a protest act in Lucena (Córdoba), in which a cut will be carried out on the highway from Córdoba to Málaga, at the roundabout link of the A- 318 with the A-45. In the same way, Unió de Pagesos has called tractor units at various accesses to the border with France, in the province of Girona, and from this Tuesday to Thursday on different roads in Lleida. The tractors plan to cut the AP-7 in Girona from 8, and at 10 they will concentrate in Molló (Girona) and head towards Coll d’Ares (Lleida) along the C-38.

On this DGT map you can consult in real time the road cuts for the farmers’ strike.
