Ain. Work on the road from Paris to Viriat: traffic will be disrupted
[ad_1]
The roundabout will be located at the intersection of Route de Paris, Route des Gracteurs and Chemin de la gare.
Three other intersections will also be adapted to current safety standards, with the removal of deceleration lanes, modification of islands and the elimination of left turns and crossings at neighboring intersections.
Schedule of upcoming work
From April 15 to 20, preparatory work will take place, and traffic will alternate. From April 22 to the end of July, widening work will be carried out, a retaining wall built, as well as curbs, a quay, and the structure of the roadway. Traffic will be maintained on the two-lane lane on the RD975: the speed and width of the lanes will be reduced.
Between 1er and on August 10, the structures of the ring on the station road side will be built, as well as the ring on the RD29a side. Traffic will be maintained at two single lanes on the RD975: the speed and width of the lanes will be reduced, the path to the station closed then the RD29a closed for three days.
Around August 10, overnight resurfacing work will be carried out, with a potential road closure for two or three nights.
In mid-August, work inside the roundabout island will be carried out. Traffic will be kept at two one lanes on the RD975 and the speed and width of the lanes will be reduced.
Finally, from mid-August to early September, the island will be finished, as well as the border and the finishes. Traffic will be alternated.
The Ain department also indicates that “traffic will be restricted on the Route des Gracteurs (RD 29a) with a ban on turning left and crossing the intersection. Partial or total closures of this route are also possible depending on the safety phases and constraints.”
