This was the company Muth Mirror Systems, with 210 employees and operating in the electronics sector, which “planned to retain 45 employees”. The company “was interested in establishing a unit in Europe in addition to those in the United States and China, had a development project that we found to be good, but lacked the necessary funds for investments and in fact judged our company is too dilapidated,” said Denis Robitzer, CFTC delegate from Flabeg France.
He declared himself “extremely disappointed” and expressed his “grievances” towards the Flabeg group. “We remain convinced that what happened to Flabeg France was orchestrated: we were liquidated,” he declared. The Flabeg group reported, at the end of 2023, to Sarrewerden staff, a “catastrophic situation” due to the loss of the main customer of the French subsidiary, which mainly produces mirrors for car rear-view mirrors and sun visors. Based in Nurembergit employs 1,200 employees in total, according to its website.
