In Ain, Gymnova will equip the Paris Olympic Games

At the Paris Olympic Games, Gymnova will equip artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline. The Games are a specialty for this company of the French group Abéo based in Marseille which has a production site major in Ain, Vieu-d’Izenave. It had already been selected to supply the London (2012) and Rio (2016) Olympic Games.

The selection of Gymnova for the Paris Olympic Games does not generate anything in terms of turnover, as the equipment is made available free of charge to Paris 2024. In return, the company can use the image of the Games for its communication, which strengthens its visibility, its notoriety and provides it with new sales opportunities.

Production of the equipment will begin within one to two months, indicates the general director of Gymnova, Rémi Karakotchian. In June, forty-nine semi-trailers filled with equipment will leave Ain towards five competition sites based in the Paris region. 12 technicians will be specially seconded during the Games.

In the Rhône, Paredes will change dimension

It was the deal of 2023 in the professional hygiene sector. Taking control of Orapi, Paredes offered itself new opportunities for development and growth. The family group chaired by François Thuillier can now hope to become the leader in the French hygiene and protection market and a major player on the European continent. The year 2024 is the first step in this perspective.

More than a deal, the agreement reached in 2023 between Paredes and Orapi marked a break in the history of the two companies. Paredes, led by François Thuillier, has reached a new milestone in terms of size and ambition. Orapi, created and controlled until its sale by Guy Chifflot, 83, marked a historic turning point in terms of governance.

It is in this favorable context that the society Janisset, based in Monistrol-sur-Loire, specializing in the processing of straps, cords and braids, is showing significant growth in its activities, driven by the luxury market. The sector provides 80% of its sales.

In order to develop its customer support capabilities, the company invested 400,000 euros in 2023 in a new spinning mill dedicated to prototyping. It must be installed at the beginning of 2024 in Monistrol-sur-Loire.
