Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb says that they cannot burden the tax payers any more, super tax, windfall tax is not sustainable, inflation is decreasing, it is hoped that the policy rate will also come down.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said during a media interaction at the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi that sustainability will not come without stopping energy theft and leakages.

He says that the industry sector contributes 22% of the national production, 56% of taxes, will work together with them, the growth of the agricultural sector will remain unchanged in the third quarter, the industrial growth is connected with energy, it will remain mixed. .

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the privatization of PIA is in an advanced stage. If not now, then it will be very difficult.

He has said that the revenue target for this year is 9400 billion rupees, there are 1700 billion cases in the courts, only half of that amount should be collected, it is estimated that there are leakages of 3000 billion rupees.

Federal Minister of Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb says that the income will be taken up to 12 thousand billion before reaching the low and non-payers of taxes, they are building a privatization pipeline, initially focusing on loss-making institutions.

He says that there is a need to reduce costs, PSDP is to move towards Public Private Partnership, restructuring of FBR, focus on processes, people and technology.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb further said that Dr. Shamshad Akhtar is working together, the policy rate and exchange rate is the discretion of the State Bank, inflation is decreasing, it is hoped that the policy rate will also come down.

He has also said that the size of the IMF program has not been discussed, it is hoped that a staff-level agreement on the new program will be reached by the end of the current financial year.
