Language stays: going abroad… near you
[ad_1]
No need to go abroad to learn English. Driven by the pandemic Covid-19, the Action Séjours organization had to reinvent itself and offers language trips close to home. It has launched a new “English Academy” offer, a stay in France, for young people aged 12 to 17 who are used to leaving. “This allows teenagers to continue to progress in English while staying in France”, explains Thomas Bacot, marketing manager for Action Séjours. This summer, 60 to 90 young people will go to Tignes (Savoie) or Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes) to improve their level.
Supervised by a teacher and a facilitator, the teenagers will follow three hours of English lessons daily on a campus where they are accommodated and will take part in fun activities. On the program: volleyball, paddle or hiking…
“All in English! “, insists Thomas Bacot. The company offers recreational activities exclusively animated in the language of Shakespeare to fulfill its sales promise: “To encourage young people to speak English from morning to night. »
An almost normal season
Propose language travel without going abroad is surprising. However, “the summer season looks promising”, is satisfied Thomas Bacot. The stays are almost all full, despite a year marked by the closing of borders.
Thanks to less restrictive health restrictions, Actions Séjours will be able to achieve an almost normal season. At the time of the Covid, their agents have been trained to enforce the health protocol. Thanks to this device, “the season is possible”, rejoices the marketing director.
“Learning foreign languages in France is not a new phenomenon”, deciphers Sabine Bonnaud, general delegate of the National Union of organizations for educational, linguistic and language training stays (Unosel). In 2020, 7,050 people took part in these language stays made in France.
