Berlingos, Doblos, Clios, Jumpys, Twingos, Kangoos, Jumpers… During its last meeting, the Lyon city council voted to put up for sale equipment that it no longer uses on the site online auction brokerage « agorastore.fr “.
These are essentially vehicles classified between Crit’air 1 and 2, the price of which can start for some at 1,000 euros. The most expensive are priced at 4,600 euros.
Contribute to a circular economy
The deliberation specifies the approach: “Eager to encourage the reuse of materials rather than single use, to contribute to a circular economy, to reduce its environmental footprint without depositing it in a recycling center, to free up storage space, and to increase the budget revenues, the City has used this system since 2007.”
It allows anyone to learn about the City of Lyon’s sales offer on a website accessible to all.
Concretely, each person is free to bid on the item(s) they wish to acquire. The starting price is relatively low in order to attract the interest of potential buyers. “And experience has demonstrated that an attractive price makes it possible to increase the number of auctions and to achieve a fair compromise between the interests of the community and those of the buyers,” the deliberation further notes.
A tractor, a compactor, a sweeper
In addition to a long list of utility vehicles, the town hall also sells a compactor (1,000 euros), a road sweeper (1,000 euros), a cherry picker (4,600 euros), several resurfacers (1,000 euros), a tractor (4 600 euros) or the modular buildings of the nursery part of the temporary Montel school group (10,000 euros)…
