However, Álvarez recalled that the European Committee of Social Rights (CEDS) recently issued a ruling on the lawsuit that UGT filed against Spain due to the low cost of dismissal in the country. For his part, Álvarez explained that, after 40 years without reducing the working day in Spain, “the time” has come to discuss the maximum working day in the country.
