O first life center from the southern region of the country it has 160 stores in total, around 91,000 m² of built area and had an investment of between R$ 300 and R$ 400 million.
In this first moment, 40 stores will be opened, among which brands such as Breton, ZCafé, The Coffee, Diego Andino Patisserie, Galeteria Mamma Mia, Kopenhagen, Gelateria Gian Luca Zaffari, among others.
In the next three months, the commercial and gastronomy complex intends to open another 30 operations that are still under construction to complete its mix of stores. Among these are brands that are long awaited by Porto Alegre consumers, such as the second unit of the Hard Rock Cafe in Rio Grande do Sul, which will open its doors on May 1st; 20Barra9, a rooftop operation that will cover 1,000 m²; and the Asun Market Hall, an area of 1,800 m² that will be operated by the chain from Rio Grande do Sul, which will offer a premium supermarket with the characteristics of an emporium.
“This represents a sale of 80% of our GLA (Gross Leasable Area), and that in a post-pandemic year we consider it very good”, defines the managing partner of SVB Par, Angelo Boff.
The mall is called a life center for uniting retail, gastronomy, hotel, health and park area operations. There are 21 elevators and 18 escalators to take visitors through the mall’s five floors, three storey floors and two underground parking lots. In total, there are 1,558 spaces in the covered parking lot.
“People from Porto Alegre and tourists from all over Brazil, even from abroad, will be able to understand and enjoy everything that has always been there until someone determined, obstinate and who believes in the city undertakes this undertaking”, highlights the corporate director of SVB Par, Ricardo Jornada.

In addition, the view of the Guaíba River and the architecture with touches of green are attractions in their own right. The capital’s lake can be seen through the large glass windows that surround the entire mall, as well as from the third floor, where the food court is located, which has an outdoor area with tables and a view of the entire park and part of the Waterfront; in the background, you can even see the Beira-Rio Stadium. The project has permanent plants that go up the main walls and hanging vases that can be seen when going up the escalators.
“You will understand here what a multipurpose complex is, why all the malls in the world want to be like this, they want to have natural light, they want to have a relationship with water, a relationship with nature, with green with parks, why do retail ventures want to stop being a closed closed box, without windows, with only walls and artificial lights”, says Jornada.
“It’s been more than 15 years of a lot of struggle, a lot of battle, but with a huge happiness to be delivering something that isn’t for a company, it’s not for a person, but for all people from Porto Alegre”, says Boff.
The next stages of the complex are the delivery of Píer Pontal, which will make the connection of Pontal Shopping and the Park with the waters of the Guaíba and in which vessels of all types will be able to embark and disembark, as well as the Center of Events of the mall.
