It’s the first day of opening, in the kitchen it’s active, in the dining room everything is ready to welcome the first customers!

Indeed, this Monday, February 6, gourmets have found their way back to the former restaurant La Renaissance, rue Antoine Marrel, which has now become Le Domaine des Jardins Suspendues.

The place remained closed for more than 4 years.

As a reminder, it was in 2018 that the gourmet restaurant run by chef Jean-Paul Mounier lowered the curtain after 33 years of service.

We will now have to rely on this new concept which was created by the will of Billal Touaref and Julien Alberti. Both decided to create a place in their image with a decoration that highlights the plant also recalling the name of the restaurant. They offer dishes “always more surprising and innovative” on their menus. »

The most expensive dish at €18.90

Customers were able to discover on the menu, fish accras with haddock, coulis of aromatic herbs with lemon, smoked paprika, Greek yogurt with sumac and vegetable condiments or even a bun’s of snails with parsley, garlic cream and pesto of parsley. On the land or sea side, dishes with tempting names such as octopus ceviche, pepper coulis with Espelette pepper, virgin of vegetables, not to mention the desserts with Limoncello baba, citrus segments, creamy lemon and meringue Franco-Swiss. The most expensive dish on the menu is 18.90 euros.

In the kitchen Arnaud Save-Morby, the chef was already alongside the two managers when they had the restaurant L’Annex to Horme, an establishment closed a few weeks ago to start this adventure.

Moreover, for this first service, loyal customers of the Annex have moved. “They were our first customers 6 years ago at Horme and they are there today”, specify the two young men.

The new establishment offers around sixty seats in the large dining room, as well as a private lounge and, in fine weather, the large outdoor terrace that they have yet to develop.

“I really wanted to see what we could eat,” says Christian, the first to have entered the restaurant on Monday. And obviously he was not disappointed. “A place like this was really missing in the Valley. »

Once they have made their mark, Billal and Julien then hope to set up festive events throughout the year.
