Şimşek pointed out that the project aims to contribute to the need for improvement and reconstruction in cities after the earthquake disaster, and said, “We are spending approximately 3 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) this year to rebuild the region affected by the February 6 earthquakes.” he said.
FIRST FINANCING SINCE 2018
Pointing out that the last financing was provided from the EIB for the project in 2018, Şimşek said, “Our communication with the EIB, as with other international organizations, has become much stronger. Thus, as of November 2023, the amount of external financing provided for project financing reached 7.5 billion dollars.” made his assessment.
