“In order to limit traffic disruption, the DGAC will apply the provisions of the minimum service in the en route air navigation centers (CRNA) and in the air navigation services of the airports where the regulatory provisions allow it”, indicate the services of civil aviation in a press release.
The DGAC has thus asked the companies to abolish 20% of flights on Saturday at the airports of Toulouse and Bordeaux. She also asked, for Sunday, the elimination of 25% of flights at Paris-Orly airport and 20% at Toulouse, Bordeaux and Nantes airports. “The DGAC invites passengers who can to postpone their trip and to inquire with their airline to find out the status of their flight”, it continues in its press release.
Companies to cancel flights
It now remains for the companies to take their measures and cancel their flights. With Le Parisien, the companies had explained the choice of these flights by the objective of “minimizing the impact on customers”. They “generally have 24 hours to send the DGAC a proposal for their modified flight program for the days concerned”.
The DGAC had already requested the cancellation for Thursday of 20% of movements at OrlyMarseille and Toulouse, and for Friday 25% of flights at Orly as well as 20% of those from Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux and Nantes.
