The islands of La Gomera and Gran Canaria will have better connections starting May 1. The Gomero Cabildo and the airline Binter have reached an agreement, announced this Monday through a statement, by which the schedules will be modified and the mobility offer between both airports will be increased.

Flights originating in Gran Canaria will depart at 7.15 hours and to the 4:00 p.m.while those returning from La Gomera at 8.25 hours and to the 5:20 p.m., as of the aforementioned date. In this way, the morning flight leaves earlier than usual, making it easier to connect with other routes, as well as allowing you to go and return to the round island on the same day.

The president of the Cabildo of La Gomera, Casimiro Curbelo, explained that this change in the morning schedule opens the door to consolidating mobility with other points in the national territory and Europe, since Gran Canaria currently connects with more than 30 destinations.

On the other hand, he emphasized the gradual growth that airport activity has registered with La Gomera, whose airport exceeded 100,000 passengers last year, thanks to the stabilization of the route with Gran Canaria and mobility with Tenerife North.

The objective of this initiative is to advance the co-solidation of this route and the territorial cohesion of the archipelago.
