He said that due to the reduced shelf life of Pakistani canoe, the canoe is reaching the export market in a bad condition. Due to which the export orders of Kino are not getting. As a result, several processing factories have been closed for the export season of kino since November 15.
According to Waheed Ahmed, PFVA has been drawing the attention of the federal and Punjab government towards this for many years, committees have been formed after consultation with the caretaker government.
The PFVA has recommended the caretaker government to establish nurseries for new varieties and give them legal protection, while it has suggested taking advantage of the experience of China, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco and the US to revive the citrus fruit industry. .
