A board and around forty cards. At first glance, Uproar seems like a normal board game. But this game, developed by the Métropole de Lyon with the support of the Utopies and Opéo firms, is aimed at business leaders who will spend around three hours comparing their economic model to different scenarios to identify opportunities for transformation.

“Shock” and “lever” cards

Managers are first invited to map their economic model, before subjecting it to attack scenarios. “Shock” cards are divided into several categories: regulatory, supply and distribution, demand, technological, human resources shocks, etc.

“Lever” cards are then proposed, to encourage managers to formalize an action plan. The workshop can be carried out within the company or between companies, and allows for a diagnosis of the vulnerabilities of the economic model. This game also aims to raise awareness among companies of the issues of environmental transition.

“Building a development model together”

After recalling certain existing aid and programs, Emeline Baume , vice-president of the Lyon Metropolis responsible for the economy, employment, commerce, digital technology and public procurement, explains: “Through all of these tools, we are pursuing one and the same objective: build together a development model for a prosperous, sober economy, which adapts to climate issues, the demands of social justice and the imperatives of public health. »
